Babelkhir (باب الخير) is a free online directory listing charitable, social, environmental and cultural associations active in Algeria. Our mission is to make these initiatives more visible to citizens who want to get involved, find help or support a cause near them.

Is Babelkhir an association or does it collect donations?

Accepted Answer

No. Babelkhir is an information and guidance website only. We are not an association, we collect no donations and we do not intervene in the activities of listed organisations. No financial transactions take place on this site. To make a donation or receive assistance, contact the association of your choice directly.

Is Babelkhir free to use?

Yes, entirely. Browsing the directory, searching for an association, filtering by wilaya or sector — everything is free with no sign-up required.

Question 4

Does Babelkhir cover all wilayas of Algeria?

Accepted Answer

The directory is designed to cover all 58 wilayas. However, not all associations have yet been listed and some wilayas may be less represented. We continuously work to enrich the database. If you know of an active association in your wilaya, you can let us know.

How do I find an association near me?

Accepted Answer

On the home page, use the wilaya filter to select your region, then refine by sector (Social, Health, Environment, etc.). You can also use the search bar to enter a keyword. Results appear instantly.

I need urgent help. What should I do?

Accepted Answer

Babelkhir does not distribute aid directly. Go to the directory, filter by your wilaya and select the sector matching your situation (for example: Charitable, Health or Emergency). Association profiles show their contact details and current needs — contact them directly.

Is the information in the profiles up to date?

Accepted Answer

Each profile shows a last-verified date. We strive to verify information regularly. If you notice an error or outdated information, report it to contact@babelkhir.org — we will correct it as soon as possible.

Is Babelkhir available in Arabic?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The site is available in French, Arabic and English. You can switch between languages by clicking FR / AR / EN at the top of any page.

How do we get our association listed?

Accepted Answer

Send us a message at contact@babelkhir.org with the following information: name of the association, wilaya, sector(s) of activity, short description, contact details and if possible a representative photo. We handle verification and publication manually, free of charge.

Our profile contains an error. How do we correct it?

Accepted Answer

Contact us directly at contact@babelkhir.org specifying your association's name and the corrections needed. We make updates manually and confirm the change to you.

What types of associations can be listed?

Accepted Answer

We list associations active in the following sectors: Social, Charitable, Environment, Education, Health, Youth, Women, Disability, Culture and Emergency. The association must be legally established and operate in Algeria. Associations with a commercial purpose or an exclusively religious character are not eligible.

Can we request removal of our profile?

Accepted Answer

Yes. On a simple request sent to contact@babelkhir.org, we will remove your profile within 48 business hours.

I want to volunteer. Where do I start?

In the directory, filter by your wilaya and browse association profiles. Associations actively seeking volunteers indicate this in the "Current needs" section of their profile. Contact those whose mission matches yours directly.

Does Babelkhir connect volunteers with associations?

Accepted Answer

Babelkhir is an information directory — we do not manage direct connections or applications. You contact the association of your choice yourself, using the contact details shown on their profile (phone, email, social media).
