Association Nour Doha

Nour Doha ("Light of Day") is a national association founded in 2002 by Ms. Samia Gasmi to combat the loneliness and hardship faced by cancer patients. Its name evokes the hope the association strives to bring to every patient it accompanies. It has over 500 volunteers and 16 regional branches spread across all 48 wilayas, including Djanet, Béjaïa, Hassi Messaoud, Souk Ahras, El Oued, and Tamanrasset. Its teams intervene in cancer treatment centers to support patients throughout their treatment. Its missions include: moral and psychological support for patients and families, assistance in obtaining medication and medical supplies, awareness campaigns for early detection, and interventions in underserved areas where health infrastructure is lacking. It collaborates with the WHO and is regularly cited as a reference association in the fight against cancer in Algeria.
