Kafil El Yatim Association of Tiaret Province

Kafil El Yatim was founded on 26 November 2008 to care for 37 families with 73 orphans in the municipality of Tiaret. It received province-level accreditation in March 2013 and now operates across the whole province. It has 42 municipal offices and 520 members, and supports 5,398 children from 2,776 registered families. Its work includes monthly aid to families, school supplies at the start of each school year, collective iftars and Eid clothing during Ramadan, summer camps, tutoring and medical care. The association also supports widows: in October 2025 it held a study day on breast cancer prevention and women's physical and mental health. At the September 2025 general assembly, its president Larbi Djellab stressed plans to develop projects creating job opportunities for widows.
